Meet The JA Recovery Team

Hi, I’m John, and I’m glad you’re here. Whether you’re looking for someone to help your loved one get sober, need assistance finding the right treatment program or simply would like to have a partner to come alongside you through your own recovery, I hope I can help.

When I graduated from Hanover College with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, I didn’t initially go into the mental health field. Instead, I entered the executive recruiting world and was successful doing that for many years–until I wasn’t.

In 2011, my recovery journey began. It started with getting help, then turned into volunteering at the very place where I received treatment, to becoming a board member and eventually an employee where I oversaw a sober living home with 60 residents.

As I worked through my career in mental health and addiction treatment I saw the same patterns–loved ones uncertain about how to address the person struggling, families overwhelmed with the task of finding the right treatment and then the really difficult task for everyone—understanding how to operate once out of the safety of a treatment facility. That’s when I decided it was time to do more.

JA Recovery was the answer to this problem. I knew I could be a trusted guide and turn my life’s mission of helping others in recovery into my career. Today I am a Certified Intervention Specialist (CIP) through the Pennsylvania Certification Board as well as a Certified Addiction Peer Recovery Coach (CAPRC I) through ICAADA. I’m constantly learning and currently working towards more certifications.

I like to tell my clients that I’m just a normal guy. I’m married, have two children and two dogs. I love spending time with them and being present in their lives. As a hobby, my favorite thing in the world is fly fishing. My second favorite thing is spending time at my family’s lake cottage in Southern Indiana. One day I hope to turn my passion for fishing into a therapeutic offering.

Without my own recovery, none of this would be possible. This life works for me, and my greatest hope is to help my clients create long-lasting recovery…well beyond the time we spend together.

Hello there! I'm Erin.

Navigating the journey of addiction and recovery can feel like a rollercoaster of emotions, but trust me when I say, you're not alone. And guess what? There's hope, and there's help, right here.

With over a decade in the field of addiction treatment and recovery, I've seen it all. From the ups and downs to the twists and turns, I've been there. But that's also what makes me so passionate about what I do. I've walked this path, come out the other side, and now, I'm here to walk it with you.

My recovery journey began in 2009, and I haven’t looked back since. It’s become my mission in life to help others, and working at JA Recovery is the perfect way to do this.

Professionally, I've worn many hats, from spearheading business development initiatives at various treatment centers to working with addiction treatment professionals, families, and individuals to access crucial care for substance use disorder.

My journey has taken me from local to statewide to national levels, and I'm proud to say that my commitment to this cause is unwavering. Currently, I'm on my way to obtaining credentials as a Certified Intervention Professional (CIP), because I believe in continually expanding my expertise to better serve you.

I like to describe myself as pretty easy-going and approachable. When I'm not working, you can catch me spending quality time with my husband and our adorable dog, Miles. Whether we're out for a run or just enjoying a leisurely walk, those moments of relaxation are crucial for recharging my battery.

Oh, and did I mention I'm a bit of a true crime buff? Yep, you'll often find me glued to the latest documentary or podcast, uncovering the mysteries and marveling at the resilience of the human spirit.

So, buckle up. It's going to be a journey, but one filled with hope, healing, and a whole lot of heart. I can't wait to walk this road with you and your loved ones.

Hi, I’m Gracie! I am so grateful that my personal and professional journey has led me to JA Recovery. My background includes teaching, pharmaceutical sales, and real estate, but none of that could ever compare to the hands-on experience I’ve gained through my own long and winding road in recovery. I know what it’s like to feel lost, stuck, and alone—but I also know that healing is possible. Once I found my way through the weeds and began to see a hopeful future, I knew deep in my heart that I wanted to help others do the same.

I first connected with JA Recovery as a client, and the positive impact it had on me inspired me to give back. Now, as a Peer Recovery Coach with an emphasis on overall wellness, I have the privilege of walking alongside others as they rebuild their lives. Addiction can strip us down and make us forget who we are, but I believe in my clients wholeheartedly—helping them rediscover their strength, worth, and all the incredible things that make them who they are.

When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me spending time with my husband and son, surrounded by our two dogs and our cat, or traveling up and down I-69 and I-65 to see my three adult daughters in Chicago and Bloomington. Yoga, recovery meetings, and little moments of joy keep me grounded, and I’m always grateful for another day to love, grow, and give back.

Hey there, I'm Cory! I’m proud to be part of the team at JA Recovery and incredibly grateful for the path that led me here. My journey has taken me from a career in tech at Salesforce and Oracle to founding a men’s recovery housing program—and ultimately into coaching, where I’ve found true purpose. Like many of the men I work with, I’ve been in and out of active addiction and am now in long-term recovery. That lived experience helps me relate on a deep level and meet clients exactly where they are.

As a Recovery Coach, I focus on practical, day-to-day accountability and support. I believe in clear communication, honest feedback, and building trust through consistency. I want the men I work with to feel empowered—not managed. My goal is never to be the hero of someone’s story, but to walk beside them while they become the hero of their own.

I was drawn to JA Recovery because I saw a gap in the system—too many people are left to figure things out after treatment ends. JA Recovery is different. We fill those gaps with structure, support, and a team of people who live and breathe integrity and long-term recovery. That’s the kind of team I want to be a part of.

Outside of work, I spend time growing the Cliff Recovery Network, staying connected to my own recovery, and being with people who push me to be better. I live in Indianapolis with my wife, Elizabeth, and a Bernese mountain dog, Banks. I love trying new restaurants, spending time with family and friends, staying active, traveling, and supporting the Indiana Hoosiers and Indianapolis Colts. I’m excited to bring my experience to JA Recovery and to support our clients as they build lives they’re proud of.
